Odd Video Sizing was created by docaberle
I'm using video that's 262 pixels wide by 360 pixels tall. An odd measurement I know but you'll see when you play it. The preview image looks fine but when I hit play it zooms in. In the dashboard I have the player dimensions at 262x380 (20 pixels for the control bar). I'm not sure why it zooms in however. Any suggestions? I'm using BOTR from Joomlarulez and have the option of the player set to "Maintain the original dimensions of the video"

Hello,

this come form your "exotic" format.

Our server use several pre-determine format the lower is 320p :

H.264 320px H.264 Baseline, 320x496px,

As you can see it's a little bigger then your video.

You have set the player to "Maintain the original dimensions of the video", so it do it.

What you have to do is to set the Display to "Stretch proportionally to fill the display"

Ok, that keeps it sized correctly except when you go full screen. Then it's huge. Not that this is a big deal as there's no reason to go full screen. I think I can even deactivate that button. Also when using the BOTR method of video it overrides all the default settings I set in Joomla correct.

1 - You can't disallow the fullscreen button, but you can used a skin who will "hide" the button like the "simple" skin

2 - Yes the mode "Botr display" only used the remote player, the local joomla setting and player are completely overridden

While going for full screen option does it shows the image correctly or the pixels go disturbed ?

The image shows correctly but it expands to fill the width of the screen and since it's taller then it's wider the top and bottom of the video get chopped off.

You can see it here:

This isn't a problem for me however because it doesn't really matter for my needs. However if there's a solution for it I'm all ears.
