Error loading player with xml but not single file

Hi there,


I upgraded jw player advanced 3.2 from 2.X installed in the web site habana59entertainment.com/

It seems to be working on all platforms with a single file but not the xml, this same xml file worked OK with the previous 2.X installation but of course the older was not html5 compat.

it's not the advanced module it's the free one so I move it into the appropriate category.

So for xml playlist you have to set in the backend of the module the "kind of sources" to "playlist".

I attached a snap shot of the settings in the backend. I do not see "playlist" as an option.

Please advise. Thank you for your help.

I switched the choice to rss link and the playlist works in flash but not in html5 on iOS devices.

The single file option plays the mp4 files in all platforms.

Yes I got it working! I had to move the xml file to the web host server. The video files are on a different server and I originally had the xml file on the same server as the video in the same directory. Joomlarulez JWPlayer module does not like that. I moved the xml only to the same server as the website and BOOM! it worked in all platforms.

Now I have another issue .

I have another site and I installed Joomlarulez JWPlayer 3.4.0 module here:

Its J2.5. I used the same config as the other site that worked and I had only a black screen. Can't figure this one out. I had to remove it because the site is live.

1 - Ok, I understand, your issue was a crossdomain issue, nothing to do with JW player, it's security protection against crosscripting in javascript and flash.

the more simple solution is what to store the xml playlist in the same server where the player is and also set a relative path.

2 - I can't help you on the second case without seen it live, please create test menu on this website where I can check it.

This come from your template (or any other similar extension like system plugin) who compress/minify javascript, please make an exception for the script :

Now that the video is playing in all formats I see that it has been resized by the player. The original video is the same size as the player but the Module is reducing size and centering the video.

I can't find a control for this.
