Module Admin 'Save', 'Apply' & 'Close' - IE8

When using Internet Explorer 8 to open the JW Player Admin for an instance of the player from the module manager in joomla, I am unable to save, apply or cancel any settings. This leaves me having to restart the browser to log back into the web site administration.

This problem occurs in IE8 and Opera, but is fine in FireFox.

I also noticed that the page rendered differently in IE than FF, with the example player and menu assignment appearing in the top right section, instead of bottom left. Not sure if that will have anyhting to do with it? If i view in compatibility mode, page appears to render correctly, but Save, Apply and Cancel still do not work.

I would be happy just using firefox, however I will soon be handing over the site and the new admin is an IE user and a bit stuck in his ways.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Oh, site is running with php5, Joomla 1.5.14, JW player module (free) v2.0.1

i will chek on another computer today later.

ok i see the issue,

It seems that under IE8 the "paypal donate button" broke the layout.

so in wait of new release for correct thsi minor issue do this :

The problem remains on version 2.9 with IE 9 - not able to save, apply and so on ind the module management.

Worked fine with any other browser.

I am not able to reproduce it with IE9

what is the version of Joomla ? your OS ?

Joomla version 1.6.5
IE 9 (9.0.8112)
OS Win 7 Home Premium SP1

When I changed to Safari on the same laptop - it saved with no problems.
