Find the right path to play video

Hello everyone,

I have a problem to set the right path to play video. I have a local server and none of the formats allowed me to play video.
I use Joomla 1.6 On a Synolgy D211 with DSM 3.0+

I tried the the whole path with http://domainname/path
and http://my_ip/path
an d without http,

Every time I get "acces denied or path not found"!

Can somebody help me?

if your put directly the address you set in the browser, did your browser find the file ?

so if you can't find the file trough the brower first this mean that your pathway is wrong.

you have first to be sure of the pathway to your file.

It certainly not the good path as it's windows path.

And I want to play video.mp4

So if your local website is

then put you video file in the directory "stories" of your website (or what ever the directory you want, just modify the final path according to this choice)

I assume the name of the file is video.mp4 (it can be anything else just modify the final path according to this name)


In the backend of the module, put this address

in the field "single file" of the module, and set the field "origin of the playlist" to "single file"

I did this already serveral times but not succesfully!
